Multi-Sensory Presenters

Ali Stevenson
Greenbrier County Schools
Ali began her teaching career in England where she taught general and special education in an elementary setting for 13 years. Ali decided to make West Virginia her home and arrived in 2003. She worked for ten years on the west side of Charleston teaching students with a multiplicity of significant learning differences. She now works in a Greenbrier County middle school. Her classroom is a vibrant environment of individualized learning.
Peggy Lashbrook
Educational Consultant
Peggy has been a teacher of students with complex support needs in separate and inclusive settings as well as an administrator (State Coordinator for Delaware Program for Students with Deafblindness) for over 35 years. She is currently an educational consultant for NJ Deafblind Project and an adjunct professor in the Special Education Department. Her roles include providing technical assistance to families, educational teams and administrators around identification and interventions/strategies for students from birth to 21 years of age.
Jessi Wright
West Virginia Assistive Technology System
Jessi Wright has worked in the disability field for over 15 years in various capacities around the country. Graduating with a BA in Psychology from Queens University in Charlotte, NC and later a MA in Business Administration from West Virginia University, Jessi enjoys problem solving and helping others achieve their goals and independence through the use of assistive tools.

Ruth Ann King
West Virginia Department of Education
Ruth Ann King has been Coordinator of WV SenseAbilities, a federal grant serving the needs of children with combined hearing and vision loss, their families and teams. She has worked in the field of deafblindness for years and enjoys training teams around the individual needs of these children with unique sensory and communication needs.
